Peak3 launches the first global insurance AI-DLC, alongside Graphene v4

Sep 15, 2026

Graphene Harness turns insurance software delivery into an AI production line. Graphene v4 gives agents a governed core to run and change the business.

SINGAPORE, 15 September 2026 — Peak3, a global provider of digital and AI-driven insurance software, today announced Graphene v4, the AI-native evolution of its insurance core platform, and Graphene Harness, an end-to-end AI-driven delivery lifecycle (AI-DLC) for building, testing, migrating and maintaining insurance systems.

Insurance is among the most complex and heavily regulated industries, and among the slowest to change its software. For that reason, it is also one of the hardest tests of what AI can actually do. Graphene Harness is Peak3's answer: not AI applied to a single step of the work, but AI applied to the whole production line that builds and maintains the mission-critical systems and agents insurers run on, delivering a step change in agility and efficiency.

Bill Song, CEO of Peak3 emphasised the significance of this launch: "We are disrupting ourselves. Peak3 is moving from selling software and related services to selling the production line that builds it — our entire AI-DLC."

Graphene v4: a governed core for agents across Life, P&C, and Health

Upgraded agent orchestration platform and agent marketplace

Graphene v4 includes the Graphene Agent Platform, an upgraded agent orchestration and run-time platform with a marketplace of pre-built AI agents, and enhanced agent interfaces.

  • Graphene Agent Platform: This upgraded platform turns AI agents from ad-hoc execution into a managed, observable production capability. It is a model-agnostic platform to manage the full agency lifecycle: build, onboard, execute, observe, evaluate and govern.

  • Agent marketplace: The Graphene Agent Platform comes with diverse pre-built agents, such as for medical underwriting, conversational FNOL (across product lines), intelligent document processing, and FWA in claims. Importantly, with Graphene v4, AI agents move beyond running the business to changing the business. Agents now (re-)configure insurance products, calculations and rules based on unstructured documents and natural language prompts, while staying grounded in the insurer's own knowledge and data. The result is agility: faster change led by business teams and delivered at lower cost. Complex configuration work that traditionally takes days is completed in minutes to hours.

  • Enhanced agent interfaces: Graphene v4 is open and headless by architecture. Graphene's capabilities are interfaces for agents—APIs, MCP and CLI—enabled by a full microservices architecture. That is what lets an agent act on the core instead of driving a user interface. Graphene controls what each agent is allowed to do with access management, strict attribution and detailed logging of all agent interactions, restraining AI with strict enforcement on code-level instead of soft guardrails on prompt-level.

The Graphene Agent Platform is included in Graphene v4 and can also be deployed standalone, on top of an insurer's existing core systems.

For insurers that want to quickly expose core capabilities to agents without a full system replacement, Graphene can also run as a lightweight middle layer between AI agents and existing systems of record. This is a fast approach without engaging in a complex core replacement.

Expanded functional breadth across product lines

Graphene v4 also widens what the platform covers across all three major business lines.

  • Health. Graphene v4 completes the health insurance lifecycle. Group health is supported end to end with member certificates, flexible enrolment, employer and employee contribution splits, and unified billing. Underwriting gains dynamic medical questionnaires and structured management of pre-existing conditions. New provider network management brings provider onboarding, network definition, contracting and fee schedules into the core, making cashless treatment and pre-authorisation work end to end, with claims adjudicated automatically against co-payments, sub-limits, room entitlements and waiting periods.

  • P&C. Commercial lines coverage broadens with marine cargo, engineering, surety and cyber products, together with new clause and policy-wording libraries, risk survey management and salvage handling. Co-insurance and reinsurance are now administered inside the core rather than beside it: treaty and facultative arrangements, risk accumulation visible to the underwriter at the point of decision, automated recoveries, and reinsurance statements and bordereaux.

  • Life. Graphene v4 adds indexed universal life as a natively configured product line: index definition and management, multiple index sub-accounts with segment-level account creation, automated charge deduction, and multi-currency policies. For digital-asset insurers, it administers crypto-denominated policies end to end: premiums collected and claims and policy loans paid in crypto, unique wallets per policy, sixteen-decimal precision, custodian integration, and gas, know-your-transaction and withdrawal fees configured as rules. Joint-life policies are supported from product configuration through to claims.

As part of Peak3's commitment to the Indonesian, Malaysian and Middle Eastern markets, Takaful products are now natively supported on the same core as conventional business.

"Health insurance has been Peak3's strategic priority in 2026. It touches people's most fundamental needs and it's where technology can deliver outsized impact. Graphene v4 is my vision of the world's best health insurance platform. Besides enhancing general capabilities, we have been focused on the Indian market. We expect to launch there in the coming months and target to make health insurance more accessible for tens of millions of Indians in the coming years."

Graphene Harness: the first global insurance AI-DLC

Graphene Harness is an end-to-end AI-driven delivery lifecycle for insurance software. It is built on a virtual scrum team model: Peak3 distilled the working knowledge of its most experienced staff and trained digital twins of each key role along the delivery lifecycle — business analyst, architect, engineer, tester, reviewer — and connected every stage of that lifecycle into one governed system.

Graphene Harness is not a simple AI coding assistant with Graphene-specific skills. It is a comprehensive framework and an integrated system: agent teams for every role, running on a powerful AI engineering platform, grounded in a curated knowledge base, and connected with AI-driven testing, migration, diagnostics and CI/CD platforms.

Peak3 builds and maintains Graphene itself on Graphene Harness today. It is now being made available to selected implementation partners who deploy Graphene, and Peak3 intends to make it available to clients over the next 6 to 12 months.

Alongside Graphene Harness, Peak3 is expanding its forward deployed engineering capability: teams with deep insurance domain experience who build AI-first operations alongside client teams rather than delivering to them from a distance. Nothing in insurance is off the shelf. Every insurer needs solutions shaped to its own operational context, its own data and its own regulatory environment, and these teams work across both Peak3 platforms and the client's existing stack.

What this changes for the insurance industry

Insurance IT cost has been anchored to headcount and elapsed time. An AI production line breaks that link: the same scope is delivered by a smaller team in a shorter cycle. Where Graphene Harness is applied, Peak3 is already achieving a 50% reduction in end-to-end new-feature development and core system implementation cost, with timelines reduced accordingly. Peak3's stated ambition is 80% within 18 to 36 months.

Graphene Harness also drives long-term continuity and independence. An insurer using Graphene Harness owns the means of changing its core system: the development and maintenance capability itself, rather than a dependency on a vendor's delivery organisation.
